Marcie Edmonds, Licensed Professional Counselor

When asked about what I do for a living, I often reply, “I don’t work.” I see myself in the ‘business’ of providing HOPE and CHANGE for people. Hope for personal change, for greater intimacy and connection in relationships, leading people to feel a stronger sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.

I have been privileged to be in the field of psychotherapy for thirty years.  I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Arizona.  I have a private practice in Ahwatukee and offer teletherapy as an alternative to in person sessions.

Reaching out for help is often times the most difficult step in the process and finding the right match for your journey is really important.  Make sure to take time to ‘interview’ a few folks to find out who makes the most sense both personality wise and area(s) of expertise.

I earned a Master’s in Counseling degree as well as a Master’s in Sports Management.  I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including in-patient and partial hospitalization.  My passion is to walk with my clients to better understand themselves and their relationships.

I bring a tremendous amount of warmth, compassion and expertise to the therapy process that allows for safety to do the “work.”   I have a very direct style and utilize multiple modalities of therapy to assist in your healing.  I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Psychodrama.
